The University of Dubuque is a growing faith based University that is seeking a full-time Payroll Coordinator. The University of Dubuque offers an excellent benefits package including tuition remission, paid holidays, vacation and sick time, and a retirement match.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Process payroll in our Jenzabar software
- Maintain employee payroll records
- Process benefit and tax payments
- Prepare quarterly and annual reports
- Maintain timekeeping system
- Balance and reconcile payroll and other accounts
- Prepare annual reports for annual audit
- Perform other duties in support of the University's Mission
Requirements:
- Minimum of two-year accounting degree or 3-5 years of accounting/payroll experience is required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Prior experience processing payroll and payroll tax issues
- Knowledge of working software such as Adobe and Microsoft
- Must be self-motivated and detail orientated
- Must possess strong organizational skills and time management
- Ability to use discretion and confidentiality in department and University matters
