Community Engagement Planning and Strategy Management:
Planning and Strategy: Serve as primary planner and strategist with new and potential audiences across UFPA’s business model. Position will develop plans to promote UFPA artists, activities, and events, with the goal of increasing UFPA’s presence within the community and bringing new audiences to its venues. Leverages deep and critical understanding of Gainesville’s myriad communities to provide targeted engagement efforts.
Development of Community Engagement Plan:
Develops the concepts, vision, and parameters of UFPA community engagement plan. Analyzes needs, community makeup, and opportunities to decide how, when, and who to target for deeper connections with UFPA. Alters the plan on an on-going basis to continually find and connect with new audiences, be that for attendance, volunteerism, development, or education.
Project Management:
Position acts as the primary Project Manager for UFPA’s community engagement efforts. Requires coordination with all UFPA departments including marketing, curation, development, finance, box office, and production services.
On-Campus: Serves as UFPA’s Campus Diversity Liaison (CDL) with the Office of the Chief Diversity Officer to put the university's IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access) strategy into action at UFPA and work with other unit CDLs to share best practices, brainstorm solutions, and build their competencies in IDEA work. Off-Campus: Manages external relations with community constituents. Serves as UFPA’s liaison to various organizations. Works with government and community leaders on increasing UFPA’s visibility to North Central Florida.
Serves as a member of UFPA Management Team
Industry Working Groups: Serves as representative on Major University Presenters Diversity, Equity, Inclusion working group and other similar industry engagement groups.
Serves as the administrator of the UFPA Partners Program, coordinating ticket distribution with the box office, seeking new groups, and reaching out to current participants to ensure UFPA’s presented programs have as broad and diverse reach as possible.
$55,000 - $60,000; commensurate with experience
Masters degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience.
