Responsibilities
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is seeking an Assistant Director of Transfer and Reentry Recruitment to join the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment. Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Recruitment, the Assistant Director will play a crucial role in recruiting transfer and reentry students. The Assistant Director will work closely with the recruitment staff to develop strategic recruitment plans, maintain strong relationships with prospective students and university stakeholders, and assist with coordinating recruitment activities.
Duties And Responsibilities
Collaborate with the senior recruitment staff in strategic planning for the recruitment division, contributing to the development and execution of effective recruitment strategies and initiatives.
Maintain strong relationships with university administration, faculty, and staff to stay updated on academic programs, policies, and campus resources to effectively advise prospective students.
Take primary responsibility for recruiting transfer and reentry students, actively engaging with prospective students through various recruitment channels.
Serve as a liaison between the university and prospective students, providing exceptional customer service and guidance throughout the admissions process.
Work closely with administrators to coordinate recruitment activities, such as campus visits, information sessions, and open houses.
Prepare reports and correspondence as needed, ensuring accurate and timely communication with prospective students and internal stakeholders.
Attend recruitment visits, conferences, and training sessions, which may require occasional evening and weekend work.
Take on special projects as assigned, contributing to the continuous improvement of the admissions and recruitment processes.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Communications, Marketing, or a related area).
At least 2-3 years of experience in admissions, recruitment, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with prospective students and university stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute recruitment strategies and initiatives.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in using computer applications and software relevant to the role.
Flexibility to work occasional evening and weekend hours for recruitment visits, conferences, and training sessions.
