Summary
The University of Michigan School of Public Health is seeking a highly motivated and organized research project coordinator to help manage the large, interdisciplinary, and highly-collaborative Gateway to Global Aging Data Environmental Exposome Project. This project leverages harmonized, nationally-representative cohort studies from nearly 10 countries around the world to understand how exposures such as air pollution, extreme weather events, green space, blue space, and light pollution impact aging trajectories.

Responsibilities*
As our project coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that smooth and efficient progress is being made on our research study while fostering a positive, inclusive, and collaborative project environment. Your responsibilities will include working with Dr. Adar to oversee and coordinate all aspects of our research. Specifically, you can expect to:
- Monitor project progress, including developing timelines and milestones.
- Facilitate collaboration among a diverse team of researchers, stakeholders, and community partners to ensure project objectives. This will include organizing meetings, managing group communications, representing the study team at meetings, and responding to coinvestigator requests or needs.
- Ensure all regulatory requirements are met including preparing human subjects applications and renewals, organizing project progress reports, and managing data access agreements.
- Prepare written communications and/or visual presentations of project updates, findings, and recommendations to a broad range of audiences, including academic peers, funding agencies, and policymakers. Assist in the preparation of manuscripts.
- Manage project budget and resource allocation, including tracking expenditures and ensuring financial accountability.
Required Qualifications*
- A successful candidate will hold a Bachelors degree in Public Health, Environmental Science, or a related discipline with 1 years of experience of project management.
- A master's degree is preferred.
- A strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to design and implement effective workflows and processes.
- Strong writing skills, with experience in preparing research summaries, reports, publications, and presentations.
- Experience in project coordination/management, preferably in a research or academic setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and tools.
- A commitment to environmental health and a passion for advancing public health through research.
- Must be able to travel occasionally for project meetings within the US and internationally, at an approximate frequency of 2 to 3 trips per year.
Work Locations
This position allows for a hybrid work schedule. The selected candidate will be expected to work on-site at least two days per week.
Additional Information
This is a term-limited appointment that will end one year from the appointment start date with the potential for extension based on performance and funding. Salary is commensurate with experience.
