Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine is recruiting an Administrative Assistant 4 for the Office of Continuous Institutional Assessment.
This position coordinates the continuous quality improvement plan for accreditation of the medical education program and collects data for institutional reporting purposes.
The Administrative Assistant 4 will perform professional level analysis requiring independent judgment and will make recommendations based on the analysis.
This position supports the leaders who oversee the MD Program Accreditation, quality improvement and data governance. This position will engage with a wide range of university employees within UNR Med school, leadership, faculty, staff, students, partner institutions and campus affiliates.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Facilitate project support including meeting scheduling, document management, and communications.
Liaise with LCME listservs and webinars, informing faculty and staff of relevant content.
Provide administrative support including travel arrangements, Pcard, and travel processes in Workday for faculty site survey visits.
Edit, integrate, and submit draft and final accreditation reports.
Coordinate and maintain UNR Med’s continuous quality improvement plan, including follow-up and document status.
Manage access to and provide updates for PowerBI dashboards.
Train end-users on accessing and using PowerBI dashboards.
Coordinate meetings, including scheduling, guest parking, hosting, and reconciling in Workday.

Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or equivalent education and four (4) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas : providing administrative / program support to professional staff and management;
- performing secretarial duties in support of a manager; coordinating communications between the manager, staff and program clientele;
supervision of subordinate staff; researching information from internal and external sources; OR
One (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant III in Nevada State service; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with experience using Microsoft 365 Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Power BI, and Qualtrics are encouraged to apply.
Schedule
The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs.
Compensation Grade
Grade 29
In classified service, salary is in Grade and Step. The Step is determined based on the Nevada Administrative Code. Salary placement above a Step 01 at initial appointment is determined based on the recruitment, the candidate’s qualifications, internal equity and budgets.
A request to accelerate salary must be approved by Human Resources and abide by the Nevada Administrative Code.
