The UNM-Valencia Campus is seeking candidates for temporary, part-time faculty to teach 1000-2000 Level Biology Courses. This will be a continuous recruitment starting in Spring 2024 semester. The posting will remain open and applicants will be selected as needed per semester.
Located about 30 miles south of Albuquerque in rural Valencia county, the University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-year branch campus of the University of New Mexico which functions as a community college in the region and is designated a Hispanic Serving Institution. With an emphasis on teaching excellence, Valencia Campus offers academic transfer programs, technical vocational programs, Adult Basic Education, and Dual Credit High School/College courses to Valencia and Socorro Counties. The faculty and staff serve a student body of approximately 2,400 students per semester. UNM has earned the platinum-level distinction from FamilyFriendlyNM.org for its workplace policies.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's in Biology, or Master's in related field and 18 graduate credit hours in Biology.
- One year experience teaching at a post-secondary institution
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD, ABD, or EdD in Biology or related field.
- Experience and/or certification to teach online.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at a post-secondary institution.
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
