Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The Department of Athletics exists to provide educational and athletic opportunities to young men and women, to provide an environment for student-athletes to learn, advance and excel both academically and athletically, and to serve the interests of the University by complimenting and enhancing its diversity and quality of life. The governing unit within the Department of Athletics is the Director’s Office, which is the administrative office and clearinghouse for the entire Department of Athletics, and promotes the department’s guiding principle of educating and inspiring through athletics. This unit provides support to administrators, coaches, staff members and student-athletes in order to provide and promote a premier intercollegiate athletic program for The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The Department of Athletics is a highly visible public relations arm of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with statewide, national and international recognition.
Position Summary
The Quality Control for (Football Video) is responsible for assisting the Director of Video in all tasks required to produce video for coaches analysis and other duties as assigned. Duties include but not limited to; shooting and editing video of practices, games and player workouts for coaches. Assist with game day video acquisition, practice video, self-scout and opponent breakdown of games; utilizes gam analysis and scouting software to provide cut ups and scouting reports to the coaches.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience in a collegiate or professional athletic program. Candidate must possess excellent communication skills; strong organizational skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in communications, videography, digital media, or sports management.
