Senior Field Worker - East TN Research & Education Center (UTIA)
Ag & Natural Resources Associate 1 (Sr. Field Worker)
ETREC Full Time
Position will support the field operations of the center, outreach and educational activities. This position assists with harvesting grains, grass, other forage species and operate various agricultural equipment.
The position will also assist in day-to-day activities to maintain the grounds, such as mowing, road grading, weed eating and maintain the buildings such as minor carpentry work and painting.
Qualifications
Qualifications :
- Knowledge of agricultural operations
- Operate and maintain agricultural and turf equipment
- Basic carpentry
- Work in outdoor various weather conditions
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Education / Experience :
- A high school diploma (or equivalent) is preferred.
- Proficient operation of agriculture and lawn care equipment is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
