Essential Functions
Collaborates with faculty on instructional design issues and online course development.
Assists with the design of curriculum, instruction, and multimedia-based course materials.
Analyzes course specifications, curriculum requirements, and instructional circumstances to determine appropriate methods, practices, and tools for delivery of instruction.
Provides practical and theoretical advice to instructors for purposes of design, production, management, and assessment of instruction.
Designs and implements assessment instruments for evaluating the efficacy of face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses.
Consults individually or with instructor groups, departments, and colleges to determine, develop, and apply appropriate instructional practices.
Assists instructors in learning about instructional technologies (and other instructional innovations) through the development of tutorials and trainings, as well as via consultations.
Coordinates and oversees media production progress related to creation of online, hybrid, and face-to-face courses.
Collaborates with staff associates to design and develop instructional tools, objects, and experiences.
Ensures timely completion and delivery of instructional design projects.
Conducts research in latest instructional theories, practices, assessment strategies, and technologies.
Develops, coordinates, and evaluates programming initiatives centered on instructor professional development.
Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutional software systems.
Complies with all State and University policies.
Other duties may be assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university within area of assigned responsibility
and
Experience: Two years of related experience informing, advising, and assisting in assessment, management, and production of instructional objects and activities in both technological and non-technological environments; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency in applying technology in two or more of the following areas: teaching/instructional design, instructional software design/production, graphics design/production. Familiarity with web development tools such as Adobe, Blackboard, and digital audio/video applications.
Prior experience developing, implementing, and/or evaluating instructor professional development opportunities in broad areas related to postsecondary teaching and learning.
Ability to work independently while managing and prioritizing multiple tasks.
