Salary
Salary Range: $56,000 annualized.

Hours per Week
Exempt Position: 40 hours per week.

Essential Functions

Job Summary:


Provides advanced professional skills for student advising and recruitment, academic program and administrative activities aimed to effectively deliver graduate and executive education student services in support of ACOB's, graduate programs, research and other post-graduate initiatives.

Core Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and designs recruitment strategies that will identify, attract, build relationships with, and retain highly qualified students into professional certification, executive education, graduate programs.
  • Plans, organizes, and executes college and program recruitment and promotional events and activities including but not limited to graduate receptions, hooding ceremonies, webinars, open house, and community information sessions. Provides assistance in recruitment of new students and maintenance of cohorts.
  • Advises and communicates with prospects and students to discuss program requirements, academic progression, degree programs, admission process, deadlines, funding, registration and opportunities.
  • Answers inquiries and solve complex problems, provides information regarding registration, financial aid, and program development. Initiates and maintains communication plans with prospects and students. Provides information about college and university procedures, policies and regulations.
  • Manages the creation and maintenance of electronic records for college advisors and faculty committees, creates reports, files and databases/spreadsheets on prospective and current students. Works with Graduate Advisor of Record, Department Chair, and faculty on University requirements.
  • Provides academic advising for active students, coordinates course semester schedules, registers/withdraws students, generates, maintains, and distributes detailed student data, and produces departmental letters of admission and/or verification; processes documents and petitions of university wide requirements.
  • Coordinates, manages and maintains online and in print program materials (e.g., including program brochures, bulletins, email campaigns, social media campaigns, fact sheets, applications, and videos); prepares program information for dissemination; engages prospects and student to promote and market graduate programs to targeted audiences; conducts regular program evaluations and recommends updates accordingly. Works with the Directors of Marketing and communications for the ACOB.
  • Maintains records, gathers data and prepares reports as required including reports and analysis to evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) for insights into performance improvements (e.g., utilize data to assess effectiveness of promotional strategies and pursue corrective actions for identified weakness).
  • Supports research efforts to utilize collected data to evaluate possible course of actions, program effectiveness, return on investment (ROI), and other performance indicators.
  • Provides program support through managing student requests including but not limited to procuring and distributing course materials, parking passes, and catered food selections.
  • Assist faculty in management of course preparation including but not limited to distributing syllabi, coordinating course semester schedules, procuring and distributing course materials.
  • Interacts with university departments, student groups, and external agencies.
  • Performs related duties as required or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Required Qualifications
Master's degree in a related field from an accredited institution, required.
  • Eight years of experience working with student groups in the community or equivalent advisory and administrative experience in the field of education or related field.
  • Criminal Background Check (CBC).
  • Experience with Banner, Peoplesoft and webadmit systems preferred
  • Effective organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated independent decision-making and proactive problem-solving ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D., preferred

Working Conditions
Working Conditions:
  • Requires use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator.
  • Ability to travel to and from meetings on and off campus, training sessions or other business-related events.
  • After hours and weekend work is required on an occasional basis.
  • Occasional after hours and weekend work or overtime may be required

This position will be primarily located:

Hybrid-Regularly: This position will require working both remotely and on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility. Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments. This work modality is subject to change based on the needs of the department
