Job Summary
Will provide high quality cost effective clinical care to patients within the scope of their specialty. Reports to the Health Center Medical Director and the Community Physician Group Executive Medical Director.
Responsibilities
Physician will provide clinical services to University of Utah Health Care Clinics’ patients in a manner consistent with the scope of practice and quality of care standards applicable to Physician’s training and specialty. As an employee of the University of Utah Health Care, Physician will be required to:
- comply with all applicable policies, procedures, practices, requirements and standards of the University of Utah and the Community Clinics;
- comply with all all directives of the Medical Director relating to Physician’s employment;
- comply with all all applicable laws and canons of professional ethics;
- comply with all other requirements of the standard employment agreement.
- with consent of the physician, supervise mid-level health care providers as assigned and such supervision will be covered under Physician’s University of Utah malpractice insurance coverage.
Minimum Qualifications
Medical or osteopathic school degree. Board certification in specialty or board certification within 2 years of employment .
Physician must hold a valid and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Utah.
