HR Generalist

We are searching for a qualified and resourceful HR generalist to support our HR department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The HR generalist will assist with safety, daily timekeeping, recruitment, and onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Reviews time cards daily
• Conducts daily safety walk-throughs, and documents and informs management of findings

• Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media, etc
• Screen resumes and job applications daily and follow up with candidates promptly
• Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates
• Schedule and facilitate phone, zoom, and onsite interviews
• Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes
• Onboard new employees to become fully integrated
• Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices
• Provide analytical and well-documented recruiting reports to the rest of the team
• Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
• Provide administrative support to Senior HR Generalist
• Perform other duties as assigned and requested

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong detail-oriented
• Knowledge of California wage and hours law

• Bilingual in Spanish
• Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Advanced knowledge of MS Office
• Excellent time management skills
• BS in Human Resources Management

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience working in an HR department
• Natural interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong detail-oriented and resourceful mindset
• Knowledge of Paychex Flex is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $35.00 per hour

• Paychex: 1 year (Preferred)
• Human resources: 3 years (Required)
