Walnut Ridge has offices in Northeast Ohio and Brooklyn, New York. This position would be located in the UNKNWN retail business located in Akron, Ohio.

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Manager will report to the Founder & CEO as well as VP of Operations. The Warehouse Manager will oversee our Akron based 10,000 sqft warehouse. Responsibilities include overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and shipping of online orders as well as transfers to our current 2 store locations. Ultimately the manager should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Overall

· Oversee receiving, shipping, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.

· Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization.

· Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.

· Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.

· Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security.

· Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system.

· Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies.

· Plan work routes, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results.

· Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees.

· Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock reports, etc.)

· Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided.

Accountabilities:

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent (Required)

· 5 years warehouse management (Required)

· Must be computer literate and proficient in Excel.

· Data Entry experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

· Proven work experience as a warehouse manager.

· Cycle counting / order checking.

· Expertise is warehouse management procedures and best practices.

· Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.

· Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).

· Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases.

· Experience with Shopify and Stocky a plus.

· Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.

· Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Exceptional time management and organization skills.

· In-depth understanding of industry and company best practices for the warehouse

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,090.70 per year
