The Director of Digital Marketing has expertise in building world-class growth strategy and execution skills for DTC brands as well as Amazon performance marketing This is a leadership role, responsible to build, own, and execute our “on and off-Amazon” strategy to grow existing brands and launch new brands.
The position will build a team of high-performers, coordinate working with external agencies and marketing partners, and own all performance marketing channels. The incumbent will own and build the growth plans for each brand incorporating inputs such as pricing and product strategy, inventory assessment and forecasting, channel assessment (DTC and other marketplaces), marketing mix, and customer experience.
Responsibilities include - but not limited to:
- Lead the people management and personal development of direct reports.
- Overseeing marketing P&L, spend budget and forecasting
- Performance management – leading the reporting and analysis requirements of each area and provide valuable commentary to key stakeholders.
- Develop DTC and Amazon growth strategies to scale brand growth on and off Amazon within budgets.
- Working closely with internal Data Analysis and Data Science teams to understand the value of customer segments and devise a strategy on how to target efficiently.
- Responsible for the overall development and execution of CRM strategy to welcome new prospects, re-activate those not taken up or previously declined, drive repeat purchase and referrals and to maximise life time value from every customer.
- Testing and trialling new ideas and methods to achieve the business objectives.
- Seeking and finding new opportunities within all channels to increase both volume and efficiency.
- Determine the channel, country, and marketing mix for each brand.
- Own unified growth plans and customer acquisition, engagement, and retention strategy across all channels
- Develop a playbook and build long term capabilities to onboard brands on to the unybrands platform
- Own the process of performing diligence on potential acquisition businesses to determine their growth potential
- Set and deliver monthly, quarterly, annual targets for budgets, revenue, and bottom line
- Own and manage performance marketing channels – SEO, Paid Search, Social ads, affiliates & influencers, outbound (email & SMS), and display advertising
- Own the website experience and conversion in partnership with internal tech teams or manage through external agency
- Test hypothesis to build a playbook of scalable and repeatable best practices and incorporate them
- Work with analytics, tech, or agency partners to collect 1st party data to build reporting and insights capabilities
- Work with brand managers to build and test GTM plans for new product launches to help determine product-market fit
- Provide subject matter expertise on DTC strategy, digital marketing, and e-commerce channels
- Manage direct reports and external partners against KPIs
- Build your team, hire external vendors (as needed), manage relationships with external partners
- Build processes, best practices and a culture of test and learn
- Provide inputs into product strategy, inventory planning, and pricing
A successful team member will have:
- 7 years of growth marketing experience with a focus on performance marketing, preferably in DTC marketing
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field. Master's degree in relevant field preferred
- Experience in managing budgets and P&L
- Experience in leading teams
- Strong domain knowledge of marketing channels, marketing analytics, and marketing-tech
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen
- Ability to be hands-on as well as strategic
