What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver position at UP Propane?
Basic Job Functions:
- Fill customer tanks at residential and commercial customers
- Legibly fill out daily paperwork to be turned into the CSR daily Maintain equipment daily by ensuring it is clean and all safety supplies are stocked for the day
- Ability to operate in adverse weather conditions
- Ability to abide by all ODOT rules and regulations
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, manuals, and reports
- Perform gas check at time of an interruption of service for proper operations
- Provide safety information to customer
- Provide general maintenance on equipment and propane lines
- Operate vehicle in a safe manner
- Perform Out of Gas Safety Checks
- Assist with other job duties as assigned
- On call rotation for after hours and weekends
Licenses or Certification:
- Valid driver's license
- Class A or B CDL with tanker, hazmat, and air brakes endorsements required
(The company is willing to help the candidate obtain endorsements) Pre-employment and random drug testing is required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Working knowledge of propane is preferred but will train
