Product Development Manager (Remote)

Job Description

UPLIFT Desk is looking for a Project Manager for our Product Development Team. We are seeking an experienced project management and process-driven leader who can drive us to efficiently create innovative office furniture products for our hundreds of thousands of customers. You will partner with the Director of Product Development, the Product Development Design Team, CEO, and COO. We have a world class design team that is motivated to develop best in class office furniture products and we need you to help keep us on track. We know that continuing to efficiently develop our prioritized new product list is the future of our company and we are always striving to improve our product portfolio.

Required Qualifications 

• Excellent project management skills with a keen ability to assess ideas and requests, prioritize, and plan
• Ability to maintain and improve our product development process
• 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role in product design project management
• Direct experience in driving project teams to be efficient and achieve deadlines
• Experience working in medium/large companies

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with furniture or office furniture design project management
• Track record of project managing remote teams to deliver results. Covid has changed how we do business; we strive to work at home as effectively as we were in the office

What You’ll Do

• Project manage the product development team
• Ensure our processes are maintained and continuously improved
• Challenge existing standards of product excellence and propose new standards. Foster a culture of continuous improvement amongst the product team
• Consult with product stakeholders, as the key point of contact, to assess, prioritize and anticipate current and future product needs
• Attend key office furniture shows/conferences to learn the field and keep up with the latest designs and trends
• Create and empower a professional product management discipline. Help train and support our product designers and engineers to work effectively and get things done
