Our UPMC Corporate Learning & Development Team is hiring a Learning Specialist. This is a regular, full-time position that works daylight hours, Monday through Friday, with flexible work arrangements!
Learning Specialists contribute to the overall development of the learning environment at UPMC. They develop partnerships with system wide leaders to assess the learning needs of their staff and leaders. They collaborate with their Learning and Development teammates to design, develop and facilitate (Instructor led and remote virtual) learning-and-growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:
- Stay updated with learning industry trends and make recommendations to support the organizations learning goals.
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate staff and manager development opportunities consistently across UPMC.
- Assist in the assessment of learning needs of the organization through conducting basic learning consultation (and other assessment methods) with HR partners, leaders, and learners.
- Be a central reference point for inquiries related to staff and manager development, onboarding, and related programs.
- Assist in the design and development of programs and provide input for ongoing staff and manager development content updates and maintenance of programs.
- Determine the effectiveness of learning and the transfer of learned skills to the workplace by using a variety of measurement tools that include evaluations, assessments, and surveys (when appropriate).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Learning and Development, or related field and a minimum of two years of training experience required.
- OR High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of four years of training experience required.
