We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced, hands-on Human Resources Manager based at our state-of the-art new corporate headquarters in Centennial, CO.
Responsibilities:
The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, enforcing company policies and practices, and assisting senior leadership with ongoing employee development and culture building initiatives.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Manages corporate recruiting process
· Supervises one full-time generalist and any futures associates assigned to supporting roles
· Manages employee review process; assists managers with preparing constructive and timely performance evaluations
· Coordinates discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
· Manages relationships with outside HR vendors and service providers including payroll companies, benefit providers and brokers, recruiters, and testing firms
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, training, and succession planning
· Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for all positions
· Creates and manages a professional, cost-effective talent acquisition process which includes recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants for all staff, supervisory and management-level positions
· Develops a formal talent acquisition marketing plan leveraging corporate website, recruiting videos, and paid search tools in conjunction with corporate IT and marketing partners
· Coordinates the employee onboarding and training process
· Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent
· Develops and manages a formal employee development; creates classroom and online learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for advancement
· Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
· Manages PTO/sick day program and bi-weekly payroll process
· Manages employee benefit program compliance, onboarding, annual reviews, and open enrollment processes
· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance; manages all handbook revisions, training and posting requirements
· Provides support and guidance to staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations
· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
· Plans and manages all employee recognition events, company meetings, and quarterly off-site social events
· Provides C-level administrative support including coordination of employee travel and other related tasks
· Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification and Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; advanced degree highly desirable
· Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on human resource management experience required
· Extensive recruiting and talent acquisition experience (exempt and non-exempt)
· Experience collaborating with legal counsel on employment-related legal claims
· SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR certifications highly desired
· Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
· Strong working knowledge of advanced ADP Workforce Now implementations highly desirable
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight timelines or deadlines on key initiatives as business needs dictate
· Multi-state, multi-site HR management experience preferable
- Ability to multi-task and make decisions in fast-paced environment
- Advanced level of proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office Suite applications
- Demonstrated ability to learn new systems quickly
