Diabetes Educator
BRIEF ESCRIPTION: Plan, organize, present and evaluate comprehensive community Diabetes Education for both inpatients, outpatients and community at large. Grant research and management to support community education programs.
QUALIFICATIONS: Registered Nurse, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist or Pharmacist with current professional New York License. Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) with current certificate or CDE eligible.
Registered Nurse, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist or Pharmacist with teaching and public speaking experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to deliver educational information to all ages in community setting and/or one-to-one counseling. Computer experience helpful. Self-motivated with good organizational skills. Proficiency in handling multiple tasks as necessary.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to $36.08 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
