Role and Responsibilities for Lead Medical Assistant:
- Ensures that the clinic is prepped, cleaned, organized, and maintained on a daily basis. Ensures that clinic closing tasks have been completed. Reports facility concerns to Director, Operations for follow up.
- Oversight of daily tasks and responsibilities of clinic operations, Medical Assistants and Radiology Technicians:
- Assists in establishing daily priorities, reviews registrations for accuracy and completeness, addresses issues affecting patient flow, guides front office staff in monitoring the quality of patient information, scans and expediting workflow.
- Performs all responsibilities of primary Medical Assistant role as needed to meet demands of clinic. Assist with diagnostic tests and clinical procedures as outlined in the PUC Scope of Practice Policy
- Retrieve clinical reports from Radiology and Lab applications. Provides clinical reports to provider.
- Ensure completion of DOT physicals, drug screens, EPS paperwork and appropriate uploads/routing of information
- Functions as a resource for Medical Assistants (MA) in their principal duties
- Provides coverage during periods of staffing shortages and volume increase as needed. o Orients and trains new medical assistant staff to site location and tasks.
- Supports front desk activities with regard to greeting patients, registration, scanning documents in the medical record.
- Responsible for reconciling daily cash with day sheet and submitting deposits weekly to Director, Operations.
- Ensure that all staff is up to date with all HR related documentation. Follow up with Director, Human Resources. •

Qualifications, Preferred Skills, and Educational Requirements •
- Successful completion of certified Medical Assistant program. Certification with Connecticut Association of Medical Assistants preferred. •
- Organized, customer service oriented, team player with an ability to coordinate patient flow, daily priorities and assigned tasks in order to complete duties in an accurate, timely and efficient manner. Able to work collaboratively in relationships with co-workers, providers, vendors, and management. •
- Engagement and participation in meetings, organizational goals and objectives.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.53 - $27.00 per hour
