Job Description for Clinic Manager II

Clinic Manager II administers the daily operations of a medical clinic staffed by 25 to 50 physicians. Prepares and monitors budgets, purchases equipment and supplies, oversees maintenance of the facility. Being a Clinic Manager II is responsible for hiring and training office and nursing support staff. Establishes and oversees billing practices. Additionally, Clinic Manager II may be responsible for contracts or negotiations with insurance providers. This is an administrative non-physician role. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Clinic Manager II supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Clinic Manager II typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
