Physical Merchandising Project Manager - North America
RL Visual Merchandising team
•** is hiring for an experienced Retail Project Manager to support the development of RL's North American third party retail partner display programs. This role reports directly to the Global Lead for Physical Merchandising. The role will assist in the planning and orchestration of NA display programs across third party retail and NA telco operators. The role may also support a variety of other projects that come up to progress the ongoing success of the team's programs. The role will help drive overarching process development for physical merchandising activity within the AR category.
The project manager is responsible for maintaining the budgeting, planning and production of fixtures and graphics. The role involves extensive coordination and negotiation between fixture/graphic companies, internal cross-functional teams as well as external vendor partners, to ensure accurate and on time updates are delivered to stores or to third parties. The role will interface with internal and external resources, third party technical support partners, content creators and channel marketing teams across RL.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with the Global VM Lead to initiate, progress and deliver project activities
- Act as a key point of contact driving activity between global fixture vendor partners, graphic companies, channel marketing managers, creative and marketing
- Track and manage the financial aspect of projects. Use internal payment systems and tools to progress payment activities. Work closely with team members to ensure all activities are on budget
- Work to identify areas to value engineer, negotiate with vendors on deliverables such as production, kitting & shipping costs
- Maintain project trackers to ensure all updates execute on time
- Work on internal process development, collaborate with team members to drive efficiencies for physical merchandising initiatives, especially across VR counterparts
- Organize vendor partner conference calls weekly to track and update progress ensuring all deadline dates are on track
- Prepare internal communications to convey and drive understanding of project plans and activity status
Top 3 must-have HARD skills:
- 5 years experience working on development and production of physical merchandising programs for third-party retailers like Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and Costco. Knowledge of physical merchandising production and lead-times related to in-store retail displays is ciritical for success.
- 3-5 years experience managing third-party print and production vendors.
- Experience working with creative, visual merchandising, marketing, and sales teams to develop creative briefs.
- Problem-solving skills for building contingency plans to maintain production timelines.
- Experience using project management tools and spreadsheet to track and communicate timelines, costs, and deliverables.
- Ability to multi-task and work with competing and ever-changing priorities in fast-paced environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of retail project management experience, preferably within the consumer electronics category
- Understanding of 3rd party retail, first hand experience working with NA partners such as: Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Costco etc.
- Understanding of the fixture design, development and implementation process
- Communication skills with a focus on detail
- Advanced MS office skills (and proficient with equivalent Google docs)
- Proficient in the creation and maintenance of project trackers across multiple programs and stakeholders
- Experience maintaining budgets
- Able to thrive in a constant changing environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Telco operators a plus (Telecommunication, Telecommunication, Telecommunication)
- First hand experience of the 2D artwork production process, from creative layout through to print production
- Experience of AV (Audiovisual) retail display technology
- Experience of qualitative and quantitative retail research projects
