Maintenance Technician - ENG001384

 

 

Perform preventative maintenance on wireless cell site facilities across a vast geographical area. Perform duties to support large scale outages across the organization.

 

  • Responsible for performing preventative maintenance of the cell site facility including, but not limited to; RF equipment, power bays, batteries, generators, HVAC, microwave radios, antennas, shelters, tower foundations/anchors and network equipment!
  • Perform drone tower mapping and complete required duties in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain and operate company resources such as site inventory, tools, vehicle, all-terrain vehicle, test equipment and spares to ensure accurate operation and availability.
  • Ability to understand, operate, calibrate, and interpret the test results for the various test equipment such as: Conductivity Meter, Earth Ground Resistivity Meter, Midtronics Battery Tester, Infrared Thermometer, Multimeter etc…
  • Compliance with USCC standards and policies and audit and update information related to asset tracking and management in support of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance!
  • Perform minor repairs related to equipment included in maintenance routines
  • Understand the Dynamic Organization and embrace the values and behaviors in everyday job. Use alternate means of transportation to access cell sites when appropriate (walk, snow-shoe, ATV's, snowmobiles, helicopters, etc… – only applies in specific circumstances).
  • Ability to transport and wire portable generators and self-starter, able to work independently.
  • Up to 50-75% overnight travel and performs other duties as assigned.

Associate Degree in Electronics/Computer Science or equivalent experience.


1-2+ years' experience in related industry or military experience.


Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Demonstrate proven oral & written communications skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.


Obtain & maintain valid driver's license and DOT Certification. Remote Pilot Certification, HVAC Certification, EGSA Certification.
