SUMMARY: Coordinates reception area activities to promote communication throughout the Surgery Center; performs clerical, reception and assistance with back-office duties,
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates reception area activities for effective communication throughout Pima Heart ASC- Assumes clerical duties and responsibilities as necessary
- Adheres to safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities
- Monitors the nourishment area
- Assists with pharmaceutical/supply inventories and tracking of supplies used for patients
- Attends to phone calls at front desk and nurses’ station as needed
- Assists with chart preparation for procedures to include gathering of data, such as office visit notes, orders, labs, echos, testing and hospital information
- Performs post operative calls for quality measures and assisting patients to navigate care across the peri operative line of care
- Reconciles and audits facility invoicing
- Reviews patient charts for complete information to include billing standards, physician signatures, etc.
- Performs preoperative calls for daily
surgery schedule to confirm report times for patients inbound to ASC
- Maintains local facility employee files for
standardization of paperwork
- Assists Clinical Lead and Director with administrative duties as needed to
include maintaining patient data, pulling reports for quality improvement
- Communicates effectively with patients,
physicians, visitors and co workers
- Cancels and reschedules patients as needed
- Admits patients to Pima Heart ASC following the established policies and
procedures
- Interdepartmental errands as needed
- Checking in and registering patients for
procedures, collecting patient signatures
- Scans, uploads and transmits paper charts
into electronic medical records for ASC Medical Records
- Monitors multiple email inboxes to obtain
patient sensitive information and then
transmits information to IDT
- Screens and assists with scheduling interviews for prospective employees
- Perform other duties as assigned or required

QUALIFICATIONS
- Medical office experience preferred, cardiovascular experience a plus
