About The Opportunity Maintain inventory control of all maintenance storeroom locations and submit requisitions for parts and services as directed by the Maintenance Area Manger. Responsible for maintaining purchasing and maintenance records. The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties, however, it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned. Assist in maintaining tracking system for all work orders Responsible for requisition of materials and equipment to ensure continued operations are maintained to ensure on-going company requirements are met Performs expediting services to ensure purchase orders are fulfilled by suppliers in an effective, efficient and timely manner At the direction of the Maintenance Area Manger will act as a liaison to outside vendors Works with accounting department to resolve invoice problems, claims and complaints. Ensures incoming materials and packing lists are correct Keeps appropriate records and prepares reports and/or analysis to improve maintenance and purchasing effectiveness and provides information for combined managerial decision making. These include records on requisitions, purchase orders, receivables, work orders and information kept in the computer system (Datastream and/or SAP) Responsible for effective communication with production personnel and outside suppliers Ensures cost of materials and outside contracts are tracked and reported to the Maintenance Area Manger Responsible for requisitioning all storeroom items including materials, operating supplies and spare parts utilizing Datastream/SAP software programs Issues shop tools and parts to crews and ensure that shop tools are in good repair Maintains maintenance records Maintains organization and cleanliness of all storeroom areas Utilizing Datastream/SAP is responsible for all storeroom location inventories of maintenance materials, operating supplies and spare parts and tracking of cost Conducts cycle counts of parts as directed by Maintenance Area Manager Assist others in the training of Datastream/SAP use, as needed Assist maintenance personnel in the look up or review of computer systems, as needed Utilize policies and procedures pertaining to purchasing activities as well as related government laws and regulations in performing purchasing activities Hours: 8am-4pm Monday-Friday Performance Measures and Outcomes Adherence to safety policies and procedures Quality of work Production goals Education Desired High school diploma or equivalent Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Computer skills Purchasing and/or inventory control experience Good organizational skills Good oral and written communication Two companies, one vision.
