About The Opportunity Perform the daily set up and operation of the power saws to cut, slot, groove, miter and trim metallic and nonmetallic workpieces according to specifications. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Select and install blades on the machine using hand tools and sets controls to adjust the speed, feed rate and blade tensions. Position guides, stops, holding blocks or other fixtures to secure and direct the workpiece, using hand tools and measuring devices. Scribe reference lines on the material as a guide for sawing operations, according to blueprints, templates, sample parts or specifications. Verify dimensions of finished workpieces, using measuring devices. Perform basic maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating machine parts. Consistently and safely operate machines at or above standards of operation including waste, quality, efficiency, and utilization. Troubleshoot, identify, and correct machine-related problems through proper adjustments to various parts of the machine. Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices. Work Experience 1-3 years of relevant work experience Shift Hours 10:30p-7a Two companies, one vision.
