The US Tarp® design team develops automated and manual systems for custom applications in the Construction & Landscaping, Agriculture, and the Recycling & Refuse markets. About the Job:
This as an entry level remote position with a career path leading to more senior sales opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide excellent client support by answering questions, providing information, and addressing complaints; find solutions and ensure client satisfaction with products and service; build and maintain relationships with customers through open, honest, and interactive communication
- Maintain and grow accounts in assigned area; travel to client locations to manage accounts and maintain relationships; schedule in-person meetings with prospective clients. Works to establish new accounts and by identifying potential customers
- Promptly answer all client questions; navigate client problems and issues, work with client to design required system
- Serves customers by identifying their needs and recommends system and product solutions.
- Helps to gain customer acceptance of US Tarp products and systems by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to existing and prospective customers
- Work with CSR to provide excellent client service and close deals
- Take detailed notes of visits with clients
- Conduct post-travel follow up in the form of phone calls, quotes, and other client interactions
- Compile packets, quotes and presentations for client meetings
- Make all necessary travel arrangements; submit expense report to accounting in timely manner
- Stay up to date on product knowledge; attend trade shows as necessary
- Attend sales meetings
- Meet individual and team sales quotas and target goals
- Recommend products and services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs
- Other related duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or other related field
- Remote position, must live in territory applying for
- 2 years of combined work and/or intern experience that involves customer service, production, and technical work preferred
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
- Excellent time management and punctuality; ability to meet regular deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
- Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division quickly and accurately
- Proficient in Microsoft, Windows, and CRM programs
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate channels
- Ability to operate standard professional office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, fax machines, and file cabinets
