Position Summary We are looking for a Staff Learning Experience Designer who brings an innovative skillset to support scaling our AMR professional development and sales efforts as we grow. The Learning Experience Designer leverages agile learning design approaches to develop best-in-class and cutting-edge learning solutions that drive meaningful growth with measurable learning outcomes. In this role, you will provide thought leadership and Learning & Development expertise to our AMR Training and Development team, partner with program managers across the AMR Commercial team, design and develop innovative learning solutions and assets, and work to iterate and evolve our content over time. You will conduct research on industry best practices and maintain current knowledge on learning trends and technologies to ensure high-quality deliverables and effective solutions. You will advise on content management and how to best bring our content and learning experiences to market for our employees and leaders. Responsibilities: Partner with AMR Commercial and marketing teams to diagnose and develop learning content, assets, and solutions leveraging comprehensive audience analysis, storyboarding, learning solution design, and delivery method recommendations Leverage a build/buy model to determine the best approach ranging from creating a learning product from start to finish to partnering with vendors to get work done, to consulting with program managers/AMR partners to curate existing resources Design and develop learning experiences that produce desired outcomes in creative, engaging, relevant, and sustainable ways that are reflective of the Illumina culture and brand Ensure a holistic approach to learning by utilizing various methods of learning solutions (e.g. eLearning, micro-learning, virtual learning, blended learning, webinars, videos, guides, and tools, etc.) Work with L&D platforms and tools including learning management system, eLearning development tools, video tools, and other technologies as needed Define the scope and timelines needed to develop learning solutions; define the process, milestones, risks, and resources needed, and adapt quickly as business priorities and learning needs evolve Content Curation – Seek out articles, videos, podcasts, and books that reinforce learning and update content on microsites Content management - lead the auditing and updating of our learning content on an ongoing basis to ensure learning resources are current, effective, and meet business needs Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of L&D experience with strong working knowledge of instructional design for both instructor-led and self-guided learning and demonstrated experience in learning experience design techniques A track record of designing blended learning experiences that include digital, video, just-in-time learning solutions, job aids and infographics, and animation/motion graphics Demonstrated proficiency with tools such as Articulate Rise, Storyline 360, Camtasia, Captivate, and Adobe Suite. Strong design skills, able to create visualizations from data and processes Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of instructional design, adult learning practices, and digital learning effectiveness Effective facilitation, diagnostic and consultative skills; proactively anticipate the needs of client groups; influences to reach the best learning design outcome based on objectives Education: Bachelor's degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred Concerns regarding COVID-19 continue as positive cases are experienced in the communities in which we operate.
