Useppa Island Club is a private member community located 20 minutes off the Coast of Bokeelia, Florida. Bokeelia is located on the northern most tip of Pine Island and the nearest cities would be Fort Myers and Cape Coral.
Useppa Island Club is located close to Cabbage Key and Cayo Costa State Park.

Position Summary
Our Bar Manager helps plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluates the operations of the beverage program and the restaurant. In order to perform the job successfully, applicants should have the knowledge, skills and technique to complete the job requirements listed below.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
· Oversee the beverage program from planning to execution pertaining to daily services and special events
· Manage day-to-day operations by supervising and delegating responsibilities among staff to help organize daily activities to set objectives and guidelines
· Monitor inventories to ensure adequate supply of beverages and coordinate with suppliers to purchase orders
· Build positive business relationships with management team, employees and suppliers throughout your process to gain cooperation
· Manage operations and resolve issues promptly and professionally, while implementing company policies and regulations
· Maintain proper set-up of the bar areas on a daily basis, including requisitions and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, fruit/garnishes and any other supplies needed based on daily operations and business levels
· Greet members and guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promote drink and food specials, and ensure quality of drink recipes
· Ensure accurate check processing in point of sale system
· Complete daily closing paperwork and ensure all sales are reported accurately
· Ability to monitor and provide accountability for appropriate portions on all drinks served
· Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to the request and on time
· Washing and cleaning the supplies and bar utensils and storing the equipment at the end of the shift and basic knowledge of bar cleaning chemicals
· Ensure that the Bar operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
· Assist with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant.
· Setting tables and rearranging the dining area to accommodate larger groups and prepare the restaurant and bar for special events.
· Ensuring tools, utensils and service areas are cleaned after closing to comply with state regulations
· Assist with creation of Daily/Weekend Drink Specials and Ideas for Happy Hour and special events
· Very good knowledge of operation and maintaining bar areas and electrical bar equipment
Physical Requirement include but aren’t limited to:
· Stand for long periods of time
· Reach, grab, and lift objects over your shoulder
· Crouch, squat, kneel, and lift from your legs on a regular basis
· Bend and twist the upper body to reach up, down, and to the side on a regular basis
Leadership Requirements
· Regular attendance as defined by the Useppa Island Club handbook and policy
· Maintain a schedule availability that remains flexible to conform to the business needs of Useppa Island Club such as working weekends and holidays
· Maintain appropriate hygiene and grooming standards as described in the Useppa Island Club handbook and policy
· Full compliance and understanding of all Useppa Island Club policy and procedures, state and federal regulation and safety standards of the industry, to maintain safe and efficient operations in our programs

Room and Board
We currently have employee trailers for rent that are for single use or couples. Shared accommodations are for our seasonal Associates and are in a dormitory-style building that is currently being rebuilt. All our living spaces come with air-conditioned/heat and furnished with a Full or twin sized bed. All Associate housing is non-smoking.

Employees enjoy a 40% discount on food items from the restaurant and a 25% discount on retail and grocery items from the Joseffa Store. The store has a small grocery section, Useppa Merchandise and a few necessities.
Kayak Rentals, Paddle boards, Fitness Center, Pool/Jacuzzi, Tennis Courts, Bocce Ball, Horseshoes, Croquette Court and Walking Trails, are available to employees with some restrictions.
Getting Here and Getting Around
To get to the Island you would catch the launch at Bocilla Marina, located at the northern most tip of Pine Island. This is where you would catch one of our scheduled boats and enjoy a 20-minute ride to the Island.
