ABOUT YOU
User Research International is currently seeking a UX Researcher I with at least 2 years of work experience who is passionate about UX research and has an aptitude for learning new technologies. Attention to detail while working at speed within project constraints are essential qualities.
You possess solid communication, collaboration, leadership, and project management skills. You approach your career proactively by pursuing new areas of domain expertise. You are comfortable with change and can adapt with minimal work disruption. You are agile, professional, and fun to work with.
ABOUT THE UX RESEARCHER I ROLE
As a URI UX Researcher I, you must have a firm base of competency in benchmarking, usability studies, and interview methodologies. You will report to a Research Manager for 1:1s and professional development. You will own the execution of all phases of client-driven user research including writing research plans, developing screeners to identify participant profiles, moderating study sessions, writing detailed reports, and presenting findings to clients.
To be successful in this role, you are expected to excel at time management and presenting your research findings to our clients. Your portfolio and experience should demonstrate ownership and excellence in execution.
UX RESEARCHER I KEY SKILLS
- Solid knowledge of the field of human-computer interaction, experimental design, observational and field methods, and data analysis is required.
- Independent execution of UX Research Phases: Study Design, Study Prep, Recruiting, Moderating, Analysis, Reporting (with minimal support).
- Strong aptitude for learning new technologies.
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills are required; English is the language in which we do business.
- Project Management abilities: manages own schedule independently, manages multiple projects/tasks effectively, verifies and monitors scope of work.
UX RESEARCHER I QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years of work experience in the field of User Research is required.
- Experience with a range of research methodologies.
- Proficient at generating research plans, defining, and tracking user experience metrics.
- Preferred BA, MA/MS in HCI, psychology, human factors, or highly related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
