We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as a Human Resources (HR) Specialist 2 to support the Kessel Run Division, which is within the Digital Directorate and located at Hanscom AFB, MA.
The assigned HR Support Specialist will work in direct support of government Division leadership, and in conjunction with Branch Chiefs and program managers to support the personnel needs of the Division.
Essential Duties:
- Provides HR support / customer service to military, Government civilians, contractors on a daily basis. Maintains WebAims, the personnel database, of all employees and manages in and out processing.
- Reviews, tracks, and updates and submits all vacancies ads for the military Vacancy Master List (VML).
- Updates duty titles, raters, positions and other personnel data for military members.
- Reviews, maintains, and supports updates to the Unit Manning Document (UMD) to reflect new gains, losses, Security Access Requirement (SAR) codes, duty title changes and any division/branch personnel changes. Reviews, updates, and tracks awards.
- Coordinates, plans and executes the Branch Awards program, including disseminating award guidance to government personnel, reviewing award and decoration submissions for compliance with award guidance, and submitting/tracking award packages through approval process.
- Works with Branch Chief and Deputy to update duty titles, raters, positions and other personnel data for military members. Works with the Functionals to ensure maximum utilization of manpower and manage the status of ongoing personnel actions.
- Coordinates all reserve man days and long tour orders, to include funding. Manages deployment training for military personnel within deployment window.
- Works with the Functionals to ensure maximum utilization of manpower and manage the status of ongoing personnel actions.
- Represents division interests at weekly Directorate Organization, Train, and Equipment (OT&E) Meetings. Conducts weekly status briefings to Division leadership.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline and a minimum of 5 years work experience, with experience on DoD or Air Force acquisition programs desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Air Force Human Resources policies and procedures is highly desired.
- Experience with the Air Force and Dept of Defense Awards and Decorations process.
- Ability to interface with internal and external clients
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
