We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as a Wargame Planner 2 to work out of Schriever AFB, CO.
Pay: $126,000
JOB SUMMARY: Provide wargaming subject matter expertise in support of the United States Space Force (USSF), Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM), Delta 10 OL-B Wargaming Team. Delta 10 OL-B Wargaming team executes the Schriever Wargame series, other supported wargames, exercises, and events, and provides wargame training for the USSF.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Designs, plans, and executes Delta 10 OL-B wargaming planning workshops, conferences, seminars, capstones, and other events
- Assists with wargame design, scenario development, adjudication, and assessment; facilitates discussions during meetings, workshops, and execution of the capstone event; controls classified play during wargame execution
- Coordinates orders of battle and toolkits and other wargame documents as needed
- Provides data collection and input to generate conference, seminar, workshop, and capstone insights and observations for inclusion in reports and briefings
- Assists in the creation and presentation of outbriefs, Quick-look Reports, final reports, and Roadshow briefings for delivery to audiences at various classification levels
- Participates in Title 10/50 events (e.g., Air Force’s Global Engagement and Futures wargames, NRO’s Thor’s Hammer wargame, etc.) to coordinate Delta 10 OL-B Wargaming design features
- Supports senior leadership briefings (e.g., USSF/CSO, CSAF, Combatant Command Commanders), integrated Government team meetings (integrated product teams and strategy sessions), training sessions, Senior Advisor meetings, and other Delta 10 OL-B Wargaming events
- Attends STARCOM Wargaming-related meetings directed by the Government as needed
- Prepares event-related documents (i.e., trip reports, exercise planning/execution products, after-action reports, lessons learned, meeting minutes) within established time frames
- Provides accurate and timely responses to Delta 10 OL-B tasks and coordinates responses in accordance with contractor and government policies and procedures
- Carries out other tasks that may be required in order to ensure Delta 10 OL-B mission success for STARCOM Wargaming events
REQUIREMENTS:
- A background in the space or cyberspace domain
- Excellent writing and communication skills with the ability to focus on building customer relationships
- Possess strong leadership, negotiation, time management, organization, problem-solving, risk analysis, and team-building skills
- Aptitude to gather diverse and sometimes opposing stakeholders to work collaboratively to solve complex problems across multiple agencies internal and external to USSF
- Proven ability to meet strict deadlines, prioritize work, and manage multiple assignments simultaneously without supervision
- Proven ability to lead large teams in a collaborative, multi-project environment
- Ability to work in stressful and high-pressure situations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook)
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the space or cyberspace domain
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three (3) years of wargaming experience
- Previous experience designing, planning, preparing, executing, and/or evaluating United States Space Force (USSF) space capabilities in the Schriever Wargame series or other Title 10 wargames
- Current or previous experience working in an operational Space squadron, Space Delta, the National Space Defense Center (NSDC), the Combined Space Operations Center (CSpOC), NRO, or any of the USSF, DoD, OSD headquarters’ Policy or Strategy offices
- Previous experience participating in a Schriever Wargame or other Title 10 wargame
- Have a solid understanding of Service and Joint space mission areas, BMC2 constructs, and knowledge of current space policy and doctrine
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution
- Headquarters staff experience
- Experience using project management or systems engineering processes.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
- Current TOP SECRET/SCI
- Previous Special Access Programs (SAP) clearance is preferred, but not required.
TRAVEL: 10 to 12 weeks per year
