UNARMED SPECIAL POLICE OFFICERS NEEDED

Officers must be able to conduct themselves in a calm, professional manner to uphold the expected standards of our company.
Qualifications:
- Must have prior work experience as Unarmed Special Police Officer.
- At least 25 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements
- Possession of a valid driver’s license issued by the state of residency
- Possess at least a high school education or equivalent (GED)
- Must have a DC Unarmed SPO Valid License.
Job Summary:
Security Officers are responsible for security and control of the assigned areas and the enforcement of the Client's regulations. Work is performed with some independence in accordance with established policies and procedures, supplemented by periodic instructions and meetings. The employee will perform routine work for the Client. Work is performed during various shifts and locations, as required. Supervision is received from the Supervisory Commander assigned.
General Security responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Observe, survey, and report activities at the assigned site.
- Interact in a professional manner with every department.
- Proactively engage in security performance duties for maximum visibility and threat deterrence.
- Preserve order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises
- Accomplishes specific work tasks on site to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of duty assignments.
- Respond quickly to critical situations.
- Monitor and patrol premises on foot or as directed.
- Ready to seek coaching and feedback to ensure high performance.
- Direct clientele to the intended destination.
- Exhibits the ability to professionally interact with all individuals in a courteous manner, and is able to de-escalate potentially unsafe, hostile situations.
- Assess and act upon threats or deviant behavior accordingly
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
- Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare incident logs and daily reports as required.
