What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Scrub Tech position at USPI?
Under the general supervision of the assigned the Clinical Director the Surgical Technologist is responsible for filling the surgical scrub role on all types of minor and major surgical procedures done in the facility. Scrub Tech will assist physicians and nurses in various medical and technical procedures. These functions must be in compliance with the philosophy of the ASC, standards of practice and regulations of governing agencies.
Reports To: Clinical Director
Supervises: None
Required Skills:
- Surgical Asepsis/sterile technique
- Adaptability/Flexibility

- Anticipate needs of surgeon and surgical team
- Knowledge of Specialized Surgical Instrumentation
- Efficiency
- Wide knowledge of surgical procedures/anatomy in ENT, Orthopedics, GYN, Podiatry
Required Experience:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Preferred surgical technologist certification
- BLS
- 1-2 years previous experience as an operating room technician desired
