Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as a key HR contact for colleagues and managers in the US.
- Deliver the HR people plan for US, supporting the development and sustainability of our US business.
- Resourcing & Onboarding; Plan, find, hire and train the right people and capabilities to enable the business’ development
- HR Processes & Service; Implement clear HR Service to support the day-to-day operation of the business
- Business Performance; Play a key role in the US Leadership team, supporting the delivery of business performance
- Integration & Evolution of the UTAC business; Ensuring the US Business continues to adopt agreed UTAC ways of working, participating in and supporting the delivery of group policies and initiatives
- Builds Capability; builds strong collaborative relationships with line managers, to grow people management capability and enhance performance.
- Manages employee relations issues and coaches and guides line managers to manage.
- Uses data to understand key trends and HR metrics, developing appropriate plans and management actions to address concerns including turnover, retention etc.
- Line Manager responsibility for US HR team.
- Supporting the UTAC culture and values (Integrity, Expertise, and Innovation).
- Participate with the Group HR senior team to deliver the Group’s People Plan – Culture/Capability/Engagement
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in related field, SHRM certificate preferred.
- Strong and proven HR generalist background (Minimum 5 years).
- Broad experience in a wide range of HR disciplines and in-depth knowledge of US labor laws and best practice employee working practices.
- Experience in resourcing and onboarding.
- Experience setting up HR routines and processes including HR KPI delivery and management.
- Solutions focused, asks great questions and brings the outside in to deliver workable business enabling solutions.
- Fluency in the English language is required.
- Problem solving, strategic thinking and analytical skills required.
- Ability to function within a team, working cooperatively toward team and individual goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Strong time management, multi-tasking, and organization skills.
- Strong attention to detail required.
- Organize and maintain efficiency of personal work area.
- Required on-site work as needed, per our Remote Work Policy.
- Consistently exhibit appropriate attendance habits, working the hours necessary to perform the job.
- Accept instructions and tasks in a positive manner, treating all co-workers with dignity and respect.
- Working knowledge with all Microsoft Office applications and the ability to become proficient in any systems that we use (Concur, Kronos, etc.).
- Consistently adhere to, and support all UTAC policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
