Program Overview

The Utah Islanders is an after education, non institutional development football program that prepares Utah athletes for advancement to collegiate or professional sports.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sponsorship Manager to lead our sports marketing sponsorship initiatives. This role is responsible for relationships with sponsors, designing sponsorship packages, and ensuring that sponsorship agreements are beneficial for both the team and the sponsors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports marketing, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of generating revenue through sponsorships.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential sponsors, develop strategic partnerships, and secure sponsorship deals to meet or exceed revenue targets.
• Design and implement sponsorship packages that cater to different levels of sponsorship and provide value to sponsors.
• Maintain and enhance relationships with existing sponsors through regular communication, fulfillment of sponsorship benefits, and ensuring overall sponsor satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns that promote both the team and its sponsors.
• Oversee and coordinate sponsor-related events, including sponsor recognition events, promotional days, and other special activities.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of sponsorship programs, assessing ROI and making adjustments to strategies as necessary.
• Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, public relations, and team management, to ensure a cohesive approach to sponsorships and promotions.
• Ensure all sponsorship agreements comply with legal requirements and that contractual obligations are met by both parties.

Qualifications

• Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field.
• Experience in sponsorship, sales, or marketing, preferably in a sports or entertainment environment.
• Strong understanding of sports marketing and the dynamics of sports sponsorships.
• Confidence in one’s ability to accomplish the work
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in digital marketing techniques and social media platforms.
• Commitment to excellence in one’s craft, communication, and learning new skills.
• Time commitment and ability to travel if needed
• Respect for the game
