Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior attorneys in preparing for court proceedings, hearings, and
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
- Draft and review complaints, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in team meetings, client meetings and case strategy sessions.
- Attend court proceedings and hearings, gaining valuable courtroom experience.
- Maintain organized case files and documentation.
- Prepare and present persuasive arguments in court to advocate for clients
- Keep clients informed about the progress of their cases and promptly respond to

Professional Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission / Pending Admission to the state bar of Michigan and in good
- Previous internship or clerkship experience in litigation (preferred but not
- Admission to the Federal Court of Claims is a plus (but not required)
- Proficiency in legal research tools, Office 365, and case management software.
- General understanding of litigation as well as federal & state tax laws.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced legal setting.
- Demonstrate strong professional and legal writing skills
- Be able to research, analyze, and understand legal documents and case law.
- Comfortable engaging directly with clients via phone, in person, or e-mail.
- Comfortable with technology and the use of computers, printers, fax machines,
- Engage in clear, effective and proactive verbal or written communication with your team, clients, and all other professionals
- Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
