JOB DESCRIPTION
Possesses knowledge and skill necessary to meet nursing standards for competent professional practice specified in Texas Nurse Practice Act. Proficiently functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Serves as a strong clinical and research leader on the unit. Provides professional nursing in a research unit, clinic or hospital setting for individuals involved in research studies. Safeguards the rights and well- being of study participants. Ensures general administrative, regulatory and participant activities are compliant with the study protocol, and all applicable regulations, policies and procedures. Serves as a resource and mentor for Research Nurse Clinician.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications:
- Registered nurse plus five years of professional nursing experience in direct patient care or research in approved specialty area.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS OR CERTIFICATIONS
Required:
- Current Texas license to practice professional nursing.
- Current BLS.
- Current Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) or Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) certification through The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) or The Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA) required.
Preferred:
- ACLS.
