What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Utility position at Utz Quality Foods, Inc?
UTZ Quality Foods is currently seeking a Warehouse Utility associate to work out of your Hanover, PA location. The Warehouse Utility associate oversees warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities include ensuring product rotation, condition, inventory, security, and placement are efficiently maintained; and covering open sales routes as directed. The successful candidate is well-organized, demonstrates strong attention to detail and must be able to independently make decisions on inventory needs. This position requires strong basic math skills and previous warehouse experience is proffered.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload trailers that arrive at the center. Check and record trailer inventory for accuracy and accountability.
- Rotate warehouse inventory to ensure product freshness.
- Maintain accurate daily inventory balances. Must use a hand held computer to balance the daily inventory including daily orders, extra orders, return to stock, trailer loads.
- Review, accept and account for return to stock, stale and damaged products.
- Properly maintain and track returned cardboard and stale and damaged product on trailers.
- Thoroughly maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse to ensure a safe and inviting warehouse environment that is conducive to a diverse workforce.
- Cover open sales routes as directed by management.

- Must be able and eligible to safely operate and maintain required equipment to fulfill warehousing responsibilities.
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- Requires a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to operate a route sales delivery step van in a safe and competent manner.
- Requires proper lifting techniques with an ability to lift, carry, and transport products.
- Must be able to safely lift, pull, push, and carry up to 80 pounds.
- An active sales or solicitor's license may be required (requirement varies by territory).
