Work Schedule:
80% FTE Day/Evening Shifts. Hours vary 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday - Friday. Saturdays will be required on a rotation 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. You will work at Eastpark Medical Center in Madison, WI. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department
Pay:
- External hires may be eligible for up to a $2,400 sign on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE).

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician Specialist to:
- Prepare and distribute pharmaceuticals, perform inventory control, compliance audits, and financial transactions, provide excellent customer service, and maintain pharmacy records.
- Adapt to a changing environment, demonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude to complete any work within the scope of the role.
- Be a strong team player, highly detail-oriented, and a critical thinker who easily identifies how to prioritize work and manage time within a busy work environment.
The ideal candidate will have sterile compounding or hazardous drug compounding experience. Experience performing in a fast-paced and high volume environment preferred.

Education:
Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred - Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program
Work Experience:
Minimum - Six (6) months experience as a pharmacy technician or completion of accredited pharmacy technician training program
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum - As defined by the enactment of 2021 WI Act 100, all candidates hired into this role on or after March 1, 2023, must apply for registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the WI Dept of Safety and Professional Services ("DSPS"), and provide proof of application to their UW Health Recruiter prior to their start date. Failure to do so will result in delay of start date or withdrawal of offer. Current incumbents or those starting in an impacted role prior to March 1, 2023, are required to provide proof of application to their department designee no later than March 31, 2023.
