Job Description
We are seeking a Construction Superintendent to join our team! You will oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.
This position presents an opportunity for variety in work and career longevity. This is a full-time position with the majority of projects located in New Jersey & Eastern Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate is a commercial building construction Project Superintendent with experience in commercial construction. Reports to Project Manager. The company’s project site representative. Responsible for our company’s project commitments and promoting the interests of V. J. Scozzari & Sons, Inc. in all matters and at all times, and someone who is professional and possesses the ability to address and manage a variety of responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
- Plan and review the project required work
- Allocate resources for assigned projects
- Providing input and reporting to Project Manager in planning, coordination, and managing of company personnel, contractors, and vendors engaged on projects
- Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
- Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans, specifications, and Quality Assurance & Quality Control measures
- Review and ensure that the work at the site is in strict accordance with approved submittals/shop drawings and project requirements
- Responsibility for the required Quality/Testing/Inspections through installation, testing, commissioning, handover and client acceptance
- Input and assistance with project scheduling and ability to adhere to the project schedule
- Electronically maintain project required documents as well as company required documentation
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in construction, 10 years minimum
- Familiarity with construction management software
- Excellent technical skills including but not limited to, MS Office 365, previous experience with Procore is a plus but not a requirement
- Strong leadership qualities
- Strong negotiation skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
