Within the Thermal Systems Business Group in Auburn Hills the role of the Labratory Test Engineer is essential in the developement of the product line.
Your challenges?
- To perform tests inside is a competence perimeter.
- Participate in scheduling, invoicing.
- To follow repeatability and stability of measurement, participate in calibration and checking of means.
- Ensure Maintenance level 1 of test means in his scope.
- Participate in Quality system QIP and enhancement.
- Participate in a new test bench and mean specs development and implementations.
- Deployment, improvement and implementations of the “state of the art” standards, processes, methods & tools in the team
- Checking standards in projects. DR participation if needed.
- Strict application of all health safety environmental instructions.
You will be accountable for \:
- Performing activities in compliance with Lab. Metier Development Plan of his/her PG/PL/RO
- Reviewing Internal requirements, Customer Requirements, Specifications
- Robust design / tests and means in line with the economic and specs targets
- Support Lab benches design and validation
- Level 1 maintenance of his / her means.
- Follow Standardization rules and propose Std , procedure operating modes.
- Support design reviews, internal and with suppliers.
- Perform Laboratory tests.
Management follow-up\:
- Reports the progress of his tasks (KPI).
- Escalate risks, participate in QRQC, QRAP.
- Participate in ISO 17025, IATF deployment in Lab.
Health / Safety / Environment / Energy\:

Applies and enforces the Health Safety Environment and energy requirements and commitments relating to ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and ISO 45001 (OHSAS 18001) in order to guarantee the proper functioning of the HSE (Health Safety Environment Energy) management system.

Is informed and participate to HSE control

Participate to HSE performance of its activity and the applicable regulations

Assumes, at his/her level, responsibilities related to health and safety\: is responsible for respecting and applying the safety rules defined on the site within the Laboratory and the Department
- Intervenes in the event of an identified safety / environment / energy risk to reduce and / or eliminate it
- Suggests modifications, to his/her management, as part of the improvement of safety / environment / energy in coordination with the HSE manager
- Adopts exemplary behavior in terms of compliance with the site's safety / environment / energy rules
- Participate actively to apply and enforces the requirements and commitments related to ISO / IEC 17025

- Engineering Degree.
- 1 to 5 years of experience in the related métier in automotive engineering or relevant industries.
