Staff Accountant - Now Hiring

Staff Accountant Ventura, CA The pay range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 Annually, depending on your experience. Job Description Valex Corp is looking for a Staff Accountant to join its team in Ventura, CA. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: perform month-end closing procedures for U.S. and foreign subsidiaries, assist with the preparation of the financial statements in accordance with GAAP, assist in the preparation of monthly management reports and accompanying schedules. Areas of responsibility include A/R, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, and SOX internal control testing. Requirements  The successful candidate will have a BS/BA Degree in Accounting (or related) and 2 years of experience (preferably in a public manufacturing company). You must have a thorough understanding of GAAP and SOX. Experience with A/R and fixed assets is highly preferred. You must have intermediate or better knowledge of MS Excel and have experience working in an ERP system (QAD preferred). You must be able to handle multiple projects at a time, know how to prioritize, and have great verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team and you must have the ability to take on new tasks with a higher level of difficulty.
