What You Will Do:
The Wellspring Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day Wellspring operations including staff scheduling, work assignments, and coordination of volunteers with Volunteer Services Department. The Supervisor must be capable of adjusting to all types of clients and show sincere interest in meeting their needs; be flexible in working towards compromise in problematic situations with clients and co-workers. Responsible for business growth, point of sale control, purchasing and inventory control. Oversee quality of all cosmetology services, directing the esthetic program and breast prosthetics program. Responsible for developing new service offerings consistent with the mission and vision of Valley Health. Develop plan with Oncology department to expand services, breast prosthetics, into all market regions to bring services close to home for our customers. Responsible for monthly budget review/reports and customer satisfaction. Must have the ability to be exposed to intense emotional situations.
Responsibilities
Manages operations to include hiring staff, evaluating performance, goal setting, discipline if needed, and development. Manages to the budget; assists in developing budgetary recommendations; manages point of sale systems to include TAM and BrightTree. Maintains knowledge of the market, financial principles of the retail environment, and develops plans to grow the business. Purchases and receives merchandise, manages inventory, works closely with vendors to ensure the procurement of high quality merchandise with expedient, dependable delivery at an optimized price. Responsible for proper measurement design, and fitting of mastectomy prosthetic garments including proper record keeping and documentation in the medical record as required. Provides products and services to patients who are uninsured and underinsured according to the guidelines established by Valley Health-WMC in collaboration with the WMC Foundation. Maintains all Board of Certification, CMS conditions of participation standards as a PD01 durable medical equipment provider. Researches, creates business plans, and recommends new product lines in service to meeting the needs of patient care.
What You Will Bring:
Education
College or technical degree preferred.
Experience
Business management experience required
Retail sales experience required
Working knowledge and/or experience in strategic planning and growth of a retail business required
Durable Medical Equipment (DME) experience preferred
Certification & Licensures
National certification as a mastectomy fitter required within 12 months of hire
Qualifications
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and POS systems required.
Knowledgeable of oncology patients and their family's needs, and appropriate community resources to assist with meeting those needs required.
Knowledge of marketing and financial principles in the retail environment required Maturity and poise to interact with chronically ill patients, caregivers and families required.
Pleasant and professional personality; public relations oriented required.
Flexible, optimistic, and cooperative.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Exceptional interpersonal relationship skills to interact professionally with internal and external customers required.
Ability to be organized and motivate staff effectively required.
