Position Summary:

I. Front Line Brand Ambassador
- Fosters an office environment reflecting Jesus’ love and VLHS ministry.
- Serve the mission and ministry of the school by developing relationships with faculty, students, and families to ensure students experience Christ-centered learning in a healthy, unique service-oriented environment.
- Communicate clearly, enthusiastically, and pro-actively to all students, staff and families the joys of serving our great God!
- Welcomes visitors/prospective families, provides information and direction to parents and students; answers and screens telephone calls
Secondary Roles & Responsibilities (flexible to fit strengths of individual and their contribution to the ministry team):
- Information Liaison
- Collect and distribute mail to students and staff
- Distribute messages to students and staff at passing periods
- Contact parents or parent groups as needed (volunteer need, undocumented student absence, etc)
- Communicate key dates to BOD, admin staff, school community
- Assists in coordinating school-wide flow of communication and information
- Office Administration
- Monitor office equipment for errors and supply levels
- Monitor office supplies and restock when necessary
- Tracks and orders assigned school and classroom supplies according to established procedures and assure appropriate levels of supplies are maintained
- Supporting role in partnership with the leadership team through tasks such as preparation of correspondence, organization and maintenance of ministry related filing, and generation of anticipated school reports
- Maintain School Database
- Attendance
a) Manage and maintain attendance logs and tardies
(1) Record period/daily student attendance
(2) Issue student tardy passes, monitor sign-in/out records
(3) Document planned absences for students and teachers
- Aid in students/families from application to enrolled status
- Special Events Assistant
- Graduation
a) Certificates, diplomas, covers, programs, caps & gowns, photos
- Community Building Events
a) Golf outing, back to school night, auction/gala, grandparent/VIP day
Additional duties and responsibilities as mutually agreed upon with school administration.
● A personal commitment to Jesus and a strong desire to serve Him as a part of our ministry team.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills
● High level of English proficiency for completing tasks, telephone communication, and preparation of written correspondence including skills in spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
● Operates a variety of office equipment including copier, fax machine, two-way radio, computer, and phone systems
● Ability to use office productivity software (Microsoft Office suite)
● Demonstrates ability to use independent judgment to set priorities and make decisions
● Ability to work with detail and high degree of accuracy
● Ability to use discretion in handling confidential information
● Ability to work in an environment demanding multitasking and prioritizing.
● Contributes to clean, neat, welcoming and efficient office environment.
● Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with others
● Three to five years of office related experience in school office
● Obtain or hold a valid First Aid/CPR certification
● Obtain or hold an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $34,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
