The purpose of the job is to implement Cooking, Washing, Bleaching or Causticizing control projects, from definition to start-up through configuration and commissioning work, ensuring that technical and quality targets are met. The Advanced Process Control Engineer’s role also includes building relationships with our customers and maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction. In this position you will have the following responsibilities: Act as a main technical interface for the customer and coordinate with the project team and engineering partners Oversee all phases of the project, including Application, Definition and Engineering, Staging and Testing, Installation, and System Commissioning Generate reports for project development, system performance, acceptance and post-project feedback. Mentor and train other employees; assist Sales Managers and Project Managers as needed Provide feedback and input for continual improvement of our product line and processes Candidates should have a strong knowledge in the Fiber Line or Causticizing Process Areas and experience with advanced and regulatory controls & optimization. Candidates should show leadership skills, have strong troubleshooting abilities and/or have experience with process improvement. We will be looking for someone who can show a high level of initiative, who can prioritize and multitask well, and who can build relationships with customers, co-workers, and international partners. You can be a rising talent or a senior specialist, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field. Fluency in English is required, and fluency in French or Spanish will be considered a plus. Python programming skills will also be considered an advantage. Experience in DCS programming is preferrable. Finally, candidates must be willing and able to travel as needed, up to 50% of their time. Travel will typically be domestic in nature but may occasionally involve international destinations.
