Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Parts Manager to join our team. The Parts Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the parts department, including inventory control, supply chain management, and logistics. The ideal candidate will have experience in parts management and possess strong negotiation skills. Responsibilities: - Manage and maintain inventory levels of parts and supplies - Develop and implement effective inventory control systems - Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts - Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors to optimize cost savings - Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and plan accordingly - Oversee shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency - Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy - Train and supervise staff members in the parts department - Utilize AS400 system for data entry and tracking Experience: - Proven experience in parts management or a similar role - Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles - Familiarity with inventory control systems and demand planning - Proficient in using AS400 system for data entry and tracking - Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and terms with vendors - Ability to operate a forklift for moving parts as needed Skills: - AS400 system proficiency - Negotiation skills - Supply chain management knowledge - Logistics expertise - Inventory control systems familiarity - Demand planning capabilities - Forklift operation skills - Data entry proficiency - Shipping and receiving experience We offer competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for career growth.
