Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Phlebotomist to join our clinical laboratory team. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a crucial role in collecting blood samples from patients and ensuring accurate and efficient laboratory procedures. Responsibilities: - Perform blood sampling and collection from patients using appropriate techniques - Verify patient information and ensure proper labeling of samples - Enter patient data into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) - Prepare samples for laboratory analysis and maintain sample integrity - Follow established laboratory procedures and protocols - Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area - Monitor vital signs of patients during the phlebotomy process - Assist in the maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program - Current certification as a Phlebotomist preferred - Proficient in laboratory techniques and procedures - Strong attention to detail and data analysis skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) - Familiarity with clinical laboratory operations and quality control processes Note: This is a paid position, as all positions must be compensated, including internships.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.84 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
