Manager, Global Product Marketing Strategy (Special Projects)

How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do:

  • Work with Sr. Manager to develop marketing strategy and tactical planning for seasonal product campaigns targeting elevated lifestyle consumers
  • Work within the go-to-market process for seasonal consumer category product marketing initiatives; align with Vault, Classics and Apparel product teams on story selection, develop creative briefs and marketing plans, collaborate across marketing functions for plan development.
  • Deliver best in class global marketing plans that are informed by and deliver against regional marketing priorities and expectations. You will work effectively with regional marketing stakeholders to ensure global objectives and strategies are executed in a regionally relevant way.
  • Lead Drop List feature marketing planning and execution as well as Drop List story tactical implementation
  • Leverage deep consumer insights to help identify seasonal key story opportunities and develop integrated product marketing campaigns across all marketing mediums
  • Effectively presents ideas, plans and concepts for review and collaboration with internal cross-functional partners and external collaboration partners

  • Your cultural connectivity and passion for art, fashion and music informs new and exciting approaches to global storytelling for Special Projects
  • Act as a cross-functional partner, driving alignment with stakeholders in merchandising, creative, and regional marketing, as well as at the Vans executive level.
  • Synthesize consumer insights, regional insights, and business objectives into strategy, and make compelling creative briefs that set creative teams up to make best in class work.
  • Be the consumer expert across Vans regions, know the global fashion, streetwear, and retail landscape first-hand.
  • Your influence on how our brand, products and creative platforms come together digitally and in real life will unify the online to offline consumer journey.
  • Your diverse experiences and background enable you to provide a unique perspective to fuel our global growth. Additionally, you are inclusive and value differing points of view.

  • You will help Vans achieve its near and mid-term product strategies and marketing goals.
  • You will operate within Vans global go-to-market process ensuring materials are created, dates and deadlines met, so that Vans can effectively bring its products to market.

Skills for Success

  • Years of Related Professional Experience: 5 years
  • Educational Position Requirements: A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

What we expect you already know:

  • Strategic mindset and ability to understand, assess and problem solve
  • Must have passion for and deep understanding of streetwear and lifestyle fashion. Industry experience is a must, global experience preferred.
  • Deep understanding of all things digital marketing, especially use of social media platforms and mobile
  • Experience working with creative teams
  • Comfortable delivering presentations and speaking to large audiences
