Vascular Surgery Associates (VSA) seeks a professional, friendly, outgoing individual to join our front office team. Individual must be motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while displaying exceptional customer service skills. Successful applicants for the position of Receptionist will submit their application and resume, pass our interview process, and complete pre-employment drug screening and background check, after which they will join a thriving practice and enjoy working alongside a professional team.
Description:
- Warmly greet, instruct, direct, and check-in patients and visitors.
- Efficiently check-out and schedule patient appointments.
- Serve as a liaison between patients and medical support staff.
- Be the very best first and last impression of our office to each patient.

- Ability to communicate with patients, providers, and other team members on a regular basis.
- Proficiently work on a PC and IPAD
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional, prompt, courteous and helpful manner.
- Check in patients, verify and update necessary demographic and insurance information.
- Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- Assure benefits have been verified, authorizations received, and review and scan intake documents.
- Collection of copayments, coinsurance, deductibles, and patient balances at time of services.
- Check out patients and schedule appointments following office scheduling policies.
- Answer telephone, screen calls, take messages and provide information.
- Ability to anticipate problems before they happen and efficiently handle them if/when they arise.
- Maintain patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
- Maintain communication with managers and coworkers.
- Performs other jobs duties as assigned.
